Choi Chi Wing

Hello there! My name is Choi Chi Wing, but you can call me Choi, Chi, Wing, Chi Wing or Choi Chi Wing. I am excited to share my passion for clay and the amazing studio that my partner, Paul, and I have opened: Guildford Pottery by Wheeler & Choi. By combining Western and Eastern cultures, we can create sparks of ideas and bring them to life.

After completing my BA in Visual Arts from Baptist University, I worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for several years. However, I always felt that something was missing in my life, and that's when I realized I wanted to pursue my true passion for arts and craftsmanship. In 2014, I began my ceramics journey, mentored by renowned Hong Kong artist Joey Leung. With his guidance, I developed a love for ceramics that led me to pursue an MA in ceramics at the University for Creative Arts Farnham.

Throughout my arts and clay journey, I've come to realize that there's no right or wrong when it comes to creativity. The most important thing is to stay true to yourself and let your imagination guide you. Whether you're making something simple or complex, the only thing that matters is what you want the clay to be. It's that simple, and that's what makes this journey so exciting and fulfilling.
